The role of the Game Master is more complicated than that of the players. Instead of portraying a single Player Character, you have to juggle several different tasks over the course of a gaming session. If you think of a game session as a movie, then the players are the lead actors and the GM is the scriptwriter, the director, the rest of the cast, the special effects team, the editor and everything else, down to the janitor.
